What does CPM do?

CPM represents Actors across all facets of the entertainment industry.  Our clients work across film, television, theatre, music theatre, digital and online content, commercial work, voice overs, corporates and public appearances.  We understand our clients' unique talents and abilities, so we can represent them the most effectively. We seek work opportunities for them in Australia and abroad; we produce, update and distribute publicity materials on our clients' behalf, publicising relevant achievements; we negotiate clients' contracts, terms and conditions on their behalf; we keep up to date with industry trends and developments; we offer our clients career guidance.

What commission does the agency take?

  • 10% (plus GST) on all TV, theatre and feature film
  • 15% (plus GST) on all commercial, voice over, appearances, corporate and/or print work

What experience/pre-requisites does one need to apply?

We expect our clients to continually be training and developing their skills, attending professional development opportunities and networking.  We expect our Actors to attend auditions punctually and be well prepared; apply themselves professionally and to the best of their ability in the workplace and stay abreast of industry trends and developments. For younger clients, balancing schooling or studies with these demands is extremely difficult, so only apply if you are extremely dedicated and hard working, with supportive parents.

What do actors get paid?

Fees vary significantly depending on the role and the nature of the job.  All our Performers are booked in accordance with union regulations, with personal margins negotiated as and when appropriate.  See the MEAA at http://www.alliance.org.au for a listing of various Performers' awards that apply.

How do I join CPM?

Email a resume and photos into us, along with a showreel if you have one. If your application is of interest to us, you will be invited to attend an audition / interview.  Further details will be made available at that time.  Please be aware that we are mindful of representing a cross-section of ages, genders, looks, abilities, etc. We often turn down applicants based on their similarity to those we already represent or simply because our energies are already focused on those we currently represent. We are not able to reply to every application but we do appreciate you taking the time to consider CPM.

Do you have any joining fees?

There are no joining or annual fees however we do expect clients to cover the cost of materials required to promote them such as headshots, Showcast and Casting Networks membership, and any union/guild fees.
