Fresh off the Melbourne season of Matilda the Musical, Ingrid was the joint recipient of a Helpmann award in 2016 for Best Actor in a Musical. She was also one of the lucky few selected to perform in the musical’s opening night, and at the Helpmann Awards in Sydney. This year, she received a 2017 Green Room Award, along with her fellow Matildas.
In her first professional role as Matilda, Ingrid was fortunate to receive coaching and guidance from the likes of Nik Ashton, Tanya Goldberg, Brendan Yates, Jess Chambers, Jacinta Johns, Leith McPherson, Stephen Amos and Peter Rutherford.
Ingrid has performed in amateur and school productions, as well as performances for the Australian Girls’ Choir. In April 2017, she participated in Me First, a docuseries on the unsung potential of young girls.
Her training includes classes at Drama with a Difference, The Australian Film and Television Academy, The Australian Girls’ Choir and Eastern Gymnastics.
Ingrid has an interest in languages and accents. She speaks fluent Italian and takes French classes at school. Ingrid has studied classical singing and has performed in German and Italian.
Ingrid loves to sing, read and play outdoors. She is passionate about informing herself about the world and is particularly interested in history. She enjoys sport and currently plays Australian rules football.
