Reef has twice been shortlisted for the Australians in Film Heath Ledger Scholarship and is one of the most promising young actors in Australia today.
This year, he played the main cast role of Trent in the highly-anticipated Channel Nine miniseries Underbelly Files: Chopper and he returned to New Zealand’s popular Westside (South Pacific Pictures) for Season 4 in the key role of Wolfgang West.
He recently played the lead role of James in feature film Downriver, opposite Kerry Fox, which was directed by Grant Scicluna and premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Prior film credits include Fell from director Kasimir Burgess; Ana Kokkinos’ acclaimed Blessed, opposite Frances O’Connor, Miranda Otto and Deborah-Lee Furness; Richard Gray’s Summer Coda; Shirley Barrett’s South Solitary; and Strangerland, from director Kim Farrant.
Reef has played recurring roles in two series of Wentworth for Foxtel, series 1 & 2 of Network’s Ten’s critically acclaimed Puberty Blues and Showcase’s Tangle (Southern Star). He had a pivotal role in crime drama Killing Time (TV1) and lead guest roles in Rush (Southern Star), City Homicide (Seven Network), Bed of Roses (ABC), Mr & Mrs Murder (Fremantle) Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries (ABC) and Trip for Biscuits, also for the ABC.
When not in front of the camera, Reef is an avid motorbike rider.
