This year has been Zenia’s busiest yet, with appearances in feature films’ Hotel Mumbai (directed by Anthony Maras) and The Merger (directed by Mark Grentell). She stars in Nazeem Hussain’s new sketch comedy Orange Is the New Brown, on Channel Seven, and plays Sharni in the upcoming Drop Dead Weird Series 2, from Ambience Entertainment.
She will soon start filming on Maziar Lahooti’s debut feature film Below, starring Anthony LaPaglia and Ryan Corr, in the recurring role of Imogen.
Zenia previously appeared in Bollywood thriller My Birthday Song, from director Samir Soni, and Indian suspense thriller Pratichhaya, from director Mukesh Jhadav.
Other credits include television series Deadly Women and web series 600 Bottles of Wine. Zenia has also appeared in TVCs for a number of well-known brands including Arnott’s, Toyota, Westpac, Youi and Woolworths, among others.
Born in India, Zenia speaks fluent Hindi and some Urdu and Punjabi. She has undertaken training at NIDA Open and The Actors Pulse, where she was able to focus on the Sanford Meisner method as well as principles of Ivana Chubbuck, Stanislavski and Eric Morris, among others.
Zenia is a trained physiotherapist and enjoys cricket, playing guitar and Bollywood dance.
