Aljin played Iago in Disney’s musical extravaganza Aladdin. He was in the Melbourne Theatre Company’s highly-anticipated 2019 production of Shakespeare in Love and Malthouse Theatre’s The Temple.
In 2017, Aljin played Chris in feature film Ali’s Wedding, directed by Geoffrey Walker, and had a recurring role as Russell Crewe in Ten’s Offspring. He also filmed a role in online drama series Zero Point, produced by Undergrowth.
Aljin graduated from NIDA in 2006. He has worked as an actor both nationally and internationally in film, television, animation, theatre and voiceover. He made his stage debut in The Melbourne Theatre Company & Belvoir Street Theatre seasons of The Sapphires in 2005 and reprised his role in their subsequent South Korean and London tours.
In 2015, he appeared in two national tours; Anything Goes for Opera Australia and he reprised the title role in Monkey: Journey to the West for Bell Shakespeare and Theatre of Image. Prior selected stage credits include La Cage Aux Folles (Green Room Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor – Musical), The Good Person of Szechuan, Moths, Triumph, Strangers in Between, Three Sisters, The Matchmaker, Love Labour’s Lost, The Laramie Project, The Fortunes of Richard Mahony, Anything Goes and The New Black.

In 2012, Aljin was nominated for Best Lead Actor in a Comedy at both the IAWTV and Raindance Independent Awards for the web series Hunter ‘n Hornet.
