Emily Wheaton
Biography
Emily’s feature credits include Gods of Egypt, from Alex Proyas and starring Gerard Butler; The Subjects, from director Robert Mond; and 6 Plots.
Her television credits include the telemovie Dangerous Remedy and recurring roles in Rush, The Slap, Neighbours, Blue Heelers and a main cast role in children’s series Noah and Saskia.
Emily has appeared in several short films including Rabbit (Dir: Matthew Richards); Goodnight Sweetheart (Dir: Bec Peniston-Bird); Summer Breaks (Dir: Sean Kruck); and Silent Night (Dir: Rebecca Kingma).
Emily is a graduate of the full-time Professional Acting course at 16th Street Studios and undertook a Masterclass with Larry Moss.
Having first tread the boards as a child in the role of Brigitta in The Sound of Music for SEL/GFO, Emily frequently returns to the stage. Some notable productions include The Laramie Project (Dir. Daniel Lammin) Sleepyhead (MKA/Dir: Yvonne Virsik) and The Shape of Things (Dir: Peter Blackburn).
A talented singer-songwriter, Emily performs and records her own pop/folk inspired work. She regularly voices commercial campaigns and also voiced the Emmy Award Nominated animated series Get Ace, by Galaxy Pop.
