Reef has twice been shortlisted for the Australians in Film Heath Ledger Scholarship and is one of the most promising young actors in Australia today.
He plays the role of Connor in Tony Ayres’ upcoming anthology series FIRES for the ABC.
Reef played the main cast role of Wolfgang West in New Zealand’s popular series Westside (South Pacific Pictures) for five seasons.
In his stage debut, Reef performed in Anthem (Performing Lines) at 2019’s Melbourne, Sydney and Perth Festivals under the direction of Susie Dee.
Reef played the lead role of James in feature film Downriver, opposite Kerry Fox, which was directed by Grant Scicluna and premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Prior film credits include Fell from director Kasimir Burgess; Ana Kokkinos’ acclaimed Blessed, opposite Frances O’Connor, Miranda Otto and Deborah-Lee Furness; Richard Gray’s Summer Coda; Shirley Barrett’s South Solitary; and Strangerland, from director Kim Farrant.
Prior TV credits include main cast in ABC comedy Trip for Biscuits, recurring roles in the hugely successful Wentworth for Foxtel, Network’s Ten’s Puberty Blues and Showcase’s Tangle. He had pivotal roles in crime dramas Killing Time (TV1) and Underbelly Files: Chopper and also appeared in TV series Glitch, Rush, City Homicide, Bed of Roses, Mr & Mrs Murder and Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries.
When not in front of the camera, Reef is an avid motor bike rider.
