Simon is an actor & filmmaker, graduating from AFTRS with a BA Screen Production (2016-2018). His short film, All Good Things, is available to watch at SBS On Demand through all of 2021. Simon was awarded the Emerging Filmmaker prize in Mardi Gras Film Festival’s ‘My Queer Career’ filmmaker showcase for his directorial debut and has been nominated for Best Direction in a Short Film in the 2020 Australian Directors’ Guild awards.

Simon plays Tommy in the AACTA nominated Sequin in a Blue Room (Audience Award, Sydney Film Festival 2019). Theatre credits include the original production and national tour of A Town Named War Boy (ATYP), Chicom (Red Line Productions), The Campaign (White Box), A Clockwork Orange (NIDA), All Good Things (ATYP), Werther (Opera Australia) and Dead Man Walking at the State Theatre. He also wrote and performed in God Save the Queen for Melbourne Fringe Festival.

Simon has produced content for Triple J Unearthed, Wear It Purple and Human Rights Watch; and worked as a Production Coordinator for War on 2020 (Chaser Digital) and the children’s TV series’ Get Arty & Get Clever (Network Seven). His short play, Brazil Nuts, has been published by Currency Press ahead of ATYP’s Intersection: Unleashed, in 2022.
